ATCS’ Vicky Yu Named President of ASCE NCS Reston Branch

HERNDON, Va. – ATCS is pleased to announce that Vicky Yu, PE, PTOE, PTP, PMP, RSP2I, traffic engineering senior manager, has been named president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) National Capital Section (NCS) Reston Branch. She will serve a two-year term through 2027, guiding the branch’s professional programming, member outreach, and community engagement in the Reston area.

As president, Yu will shape the branch’s technical offerings, build local connections, and represent the Reston Branch within the broader ASCE NCS leadership network. Her focus includes growing participation in branch events and encouraging more engineers in the area to engage with ASCE.

“I’m looking forward to broadening our audience and encouraging more engineers in the Reston area to take part in what the branch and ASCE have to offer,” said Yu.

The Reston Branch hosts monthly technical meetings and has established itself as a hub for lunchtime PDH events and networking opportunities. Originally a committee of ASCE NCS, the Reston Branch was formally designated in 2017 in recognition of its success serving engineers in Reston and surrounding communities.

Yu’s appointment reflects her leadership within the transportation field and her ongoing commitment to the civil engineering profession.
