Brennan Collier Featured in George Mason University Alumni News
George Mason University Alumni News recently featured ATCS Senior Vice President Brennan Collier, AICP, highlighting her journey from a self-designed environmental science degree to a career influencing major transportation projects across Virginia.
Collier, a Mason alum with dual degrees in geology and environmental science, began her career by digitizing geological maps for the U.S. Geological Survey while still a student. Her early work with agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency and the Virginia Department of Transportation gave her hands-on experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and policy.
Today, Collier leads strategic sales at ATCS, drawing on more than two decades of experience in environmental planning and infrastructure delivery. Her career has shaped projects such as the widening of I-64 from Richmond to Hampton, Virginia, where she served as consultant deputy project manager for the environmental impact statement. That project, now under construction, is valued at more than $1.3 billion.
“I remind myself as an environmentalist that I’m doing good in the industry in trying to shape some of the decision making so that roads are placed where they need to be.”
Her commitment to responsible infrastructure and community-minded development continues to guide her work at ATCS.
