Cerasela Cristei Inducted into GMU Academy of Engineering and Computing Excellence
The Academy, housed within the university’s College of Engineering and Computing, represents one of the highest distinctions awarded to alumni and industry leaders affiliated with the college. Inductees are selected for professional impact, technical leadership, and meaningful service that advances the engineering and computing fields.
With more than 30 years of experience in transportation engineering, Cristei leads high-level project execution and technical delivery at ATCS, supporting complex infrastructure initiatives across the region. Her work has included major transportation corridor improvements and complex design efforts that enhance mobility, safety, and long-term system performance.
“Being inducted into the GMU Academy of Engineering and Computing Excellence is an honor that resonates deeply with me, both professionally and personally,” said Cristei. “George Mason University shaped the early foundation of my engineering journey, and to now be recognized by the very institution that helped launch my career is profoundly meaningful.”
The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, February 27, at the Country Club of Fairfax.
